The price includes one year of updates, which are listed in the Change log and available on the Download page. After one year you will need to renew your subscription to install new updates.

Imatest is available exclusively through downloads. You will not receive anything in the mail. Answers to questions on Imatest distribution, installation, and operation can be found in the FAQ. If you have further questions or concerns you can also call 303-546-6639 for technical support.

An email with your registration password should arrive shortly after your purchase. If it fails to arrive promptly, please contact us at . Imatest must be downloaded and installed before it can be registered. Instructions for using your password to register Imatest are found on the Installation page.

Confirmation email and spam filters If you fail to receive the confirmation email, it may have been intercepted by a strong SPAM filter such as Spam Arrest, which requires that emails be sent from authorized domains or manually confirmed. If you have such a filter, please ensure that it allows emails from '@imatest.com.' You may be able to find the missing email in your SPAM mailbox. If you don't receive the email within about fifteen minutes, contact us.

Setup: download, install, purchase, and register

When Imatest is first installed it operates in evaluation mode, which allows up to 20 trials of various modules. Evaluation mode is similar in function to Imatest Master, but does not save results in CSV or XML files. Most users try the evaluation before they make their purchase. The typical sequence for setting up Imatest is

• Download Imatest.
• Install Imatest. Instructions here.
• Purchase Imatest (Studio or Master). You can always upgrade from Studio to Master.
• Register Imatest. Instructions here. You must have administrator priveleges on your computer (rarely a problem, except in highly-secure networked systems).

The primary cause of installation and registration problems, which are discussed in the Troubleshooting page, is a strong firewall. If you encounter problems, be sure the Matlab runtime library, Imatest-lib.exe, available from the Download page, is in the same folder as the Imatest installation file. You may need to temporarily disable your firewall and manually download the library file. Firewall-related registration problems can often be solved by offline registration. The Imatest License

The Imatest license for Studio and Master allows an individual user to register and use the software on (A) a maximum of three computers (for example, home, laptop, and office) used exclusively by a single individual, or (B) a single workstation used nonsimultaneously by multiple people, but not both. It is not a concurrent use license. You are entitled to download and install updates to Imatest for one year from the date of purchase. After that time you will need to renew your subscription.

License holders are encouraged to publish test results in printed publications, websites, and discussion forums, provided they include links to www.imatest.com. You may not use Imatest for advertising or product promotion without explicit permission from Imatest LLC. Contact us if you have questions. The full text of the license can be found here.
